Engraving is accomplished with 3 basic techniques:
1. Diamond Drag - the surface is basically scratched to develop the required design or lettering on plastic or metal.
2. Rotary Engraving - The surface material is routed away exposing the underlying surface or color on metal or plastic.
3. Laser Engraving - A 25 watt Carbon Dioxide laser is used to both mark a design on the surface or engrave into the material. The laser can also cut wood or plastic in intricate patterns.
